Mareo Newell
Founding Senior Pastor
Mareo Newell is a devoted father and husband. He has faithfully served as an Elder under the founder of Fresh Start Church Pastor Greg Cannon Jr. & First Lady Sheronda in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He has also served in the past as a Youth Minister at Christian Life Center Church in Ypsilanti, Michigan founded by Pastor Henry J. Healey and Minister Connie B. Healey. Mareo’s most recent accomplishments has been becoming the author of the book “There is Nothing Too Hard For God.” He believes that many will come to
know Christ based on his personal testimony. Mareo has completed several courses at “World Changers Bible School.” He is currently a student at Liberty University with aspirations of graduating with an Associates of Art Business Administration Degree.

Jannifer Newell
Pastor & First Lady
Jannifer Newell is a loving mother and wife. She has served with her husband as an Elder at Fresh Start Church and as Youth Minister at Christian Life Center Church in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Jannifer has served as a Praise and Worship Leader, Singles Ministry Leader and New Members Leader. Jannifer Newell is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University. She Graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in the field of Education and received her Master’s of Art in the field of Special Education Learning Disabilities in the year 2000. She has been teaching for well over 25 years in the Ypsilanti Community School District. She is a Life Coach for Women and serves as a Professional at Concordia University.
